The price dropped due to the price of gold falling in the international market.

Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) in a media statement on Tuesday (May 10) said that Tk1,166 has been reduced per bhori gold.

It said the new rates will be effective from Wednesday (May 11).

After the latest drop, a bhori of 22-carat or best quality gold will now cost Tk ‪76,516.

However, per bhori price of silver will remain unchanged.
