
The government has extended the ongoing closure of all the educational institutions of Bangladesh until September 11 considering the coronavirus situation.
The decision was taken in a virtual program on Thursday (August 26). Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni presided over the meeting.
After the meeting, Barishal Board Chairman Mohammad Yunus confirmed the matter.
At the same meeting, it was decided to open the university too.
The education minister said universities can be reopened gradually maintaining health rules. Before that information regarding vaccinated teachers and students will be sent to University Grants Commission (UGC).
State minister for primary and mass education, deputy education minister, UGC Chairman, VCs of various universities and others joined the meeting.
