Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud has heavily come down BNP lawmaker Harun Or Rashid for consecutive speech about actress Pori Moni in the National Parliament.
He said, “We saw a BNP leader to discuss about the issue of actress Pori Moni in the parliament for several days. It seems to me that the film actress is more important to him than his party chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. That’s why, he discussed the matter in the parliament for several days.”
The Minister said this while exchanging contemporary affairs with the journalists at the conference room of the ministry at the Secretariat on Monday (June 21) noon.
He said, “Who went where in Dhaka city and got drunk in the middle of the night, and there was vandalism; In the wake of that vandalism, some things happened there. Is that very important for the nation? Who got drunk in the middle of the night and what happened, the way everyone got drunk. Was the issue a very important event for the nation? This is a bad thing. I do not want to comment on that.”
Mentioning that a quarter is running propaganda about various development activities of the government, Hasan Mahmud said, “The BNP and its allies are making these mischievous attempts. Again, there are some people in Bangladesh who think they are wise. When they themselves think that they are scholars, they do not have the opportunity to prove that they are wise if they do not find mistakes of others. That’s why there are some people who always find mistakes in everything.”
